Dancer

Lydia’s foundations lie in movement. She trained at The Royal Ballet School from 2013, performing with The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet during her time as a student. Her early career saw her on stage at world-renowned venues including the Royal Opera House, Sadler’s Wells, and The Birmingham Rep.

Though rooted in classical ballet, Lydia’s movement practice has evolved to embrace contemporary forms, choreography, and movement direction. She brings a deep physical awareness to her work as both a performer and collaborator, drawing on dance as a language to express emotion, narrative, and identity. When working with young dancers, in particular, her focus is creating a safe enviroment for her students to thrive.

She now works freelance, often modelling for editorial collaborations looking for a balletic edge or directing movement from behind the lens.
